Skylar Franke, Ward 11 Councillor
Re-elect Skylar Franke for Ward 11
Why I'm running again

Keep going, Ward 11.

I'm Skylar Franke, and I've been your City Councillor for Old South, Wortley Village, Southcrest, Berkshire Village, Manor Park and The Coves since 2022. I'm running for a second term because the work we started — on housing, homelessness, transit, and a Ward 11 that looks out for its neighbours — is working, and I'd like to keep going.

For the past four years, I've listened to residents, brought solutions to Council and focused on delivering results. With your help and input, I've been able to:

  • Advocate for traffic safety improvements, including new stop signs, crosswalks, and speed calming measures for the area.
  • Enhance local parks with new playground equipment, benches, pickleball, tennis and basketball courts.
  • Make historic investments to our infrastructure, libraries, transit and public safety to improve the services residents need most.

I'm proud of what we've accomplished this term, but more work remains. I'd love your support to keep up the momentum.

What I'll keep fighting for

Four priorities for the next four years.

Expanded transit service

Pushing for increased service and new routes, frequency and connections, today and as the city grows.

Supporting affordable housing

Backing the projects, partners, and zoning changes that bring real, attainable homes to our neighbourhoods.

Planning winter homelessness support earlier

No more last-minute scrambles in November. People deserve a plan, on paper, by summer.

Advancing infrastructure projects

Roads, underpasses, parks, and community spaces — we are a growing city and we need infrastructure that meets our current needs.
